Established as a non-denominational institution in 1900 with the founding of the Bible Teachers’ College in Montclair, New Jersey by Wilbert Webster White. President White moved the school to New York City in 1902, when it was renamed the Bible Teachers’ Training School. In 1921 the corporate name was changed to The Biblical Seminary in New York, and then in 1966 to New York Theological Seminary.

David N. Dinkins is Professor in the Practice of Public Affairs at the Columbia University School of International & Public Affairs (SIPA), serves on its Advisory Board, and hosts its Annual Dinkins Leadership & Public Policy Forum. The 106th Mayor of the City of New York, Mr. Dinkins began his career in public service in 1966 in the New York State Assembly, He was president of the New York City Board of Elections, City Clerk, President of the Borough of Manhattan. and Mayor of the City of New York in 1989. He is board member emeritus of FPWA and the National Black Leadership Commission on AIDS and the Constituency for Africa (CFA), and serves on the steering committee of the Association for a Better New York and the New York Urban League Advisory Council.

Mr. MacKay has over 20 years of investment banking experience focused on private financing for middle market companies. During his career, Mr. MacKay has been responsible for the issuance of over $9 billion of private equity, domestic and cross-border senior debt, high yield debt, and mezzanine securities. He is active on numerous corporate and non-profit boards and serves as First Vice Chairman and Chair of the Governance of the Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies.

Mara Schiavocampo

Mara Schiavocampo is an ABC News correspondent, and author based in New York. She reports for all ABC News programs and platforms.

Prior to joining ABC News in February 2014, Mara was a correspondent for NBC News as well as the anchor of “Early Today” on the NBC network and “First Look” on MSNBC.

A two-time Emmy Award-winning journalist, Mara has covered nearly every major news story of the last decade, including the Boston Marathon bombing, Hurricane Sandy, the Occupy Wall Street protests, the Gulf oil spill, the Haitian earthquake and the 2008 Presidential election. Mara is also a best-selling author.
