As seen on Capital New York The Department of Education has convened a new working group to study how data can be used to improve schools, Capital has learned. The committee will focus on the D.O.E.'s new capacity framework, which is an overview for how the department evaluates schools. "It's an accountability tool but it's also a school improvement tool," chancellor Carmen Fariña, who selected members of the group, said in an interview on Tuesday.
